Meet the trainer

Certified trainer

My name is Teresa Wilson and I am the owner and trainer of Pawsitive Pups Training and Service Dog Training.

I am certified dog trainer and can help with basic obedience, potty training, tricks and other behavior issues. I received my certification from Animal Behavior Collage in January of 2023 but have worked with dogs for a long time. I have worked with many different breeds and different ages. I fell in love with dogs after getting my family's first dog which was a boxer we named Roxie. A few years later we got a friend for her, another boxer we named Brutus. We loved our dogs so much that we wanted to help the rescue we adopted Brutus from by becoming foster parents. We helped around 15-17 boxers find their forever homes. It was very rewarding but hard at the same time as I fell in love with all of our fosters. One of our fosters was an all white boxer who was def, with lots of practice and patience I was able to teach her sign language.

I not only wanted to be a dog trainer I wanted to train service dogs as well. This has been something I have wanted to do for a long time so when Animal Behavior Collage offered a service dog training certification I signed up as soon as I could. I received my service dog certification December 2023.

I am so excited to begin this next chapter in my life!

Meet my pack

Hello everyone my name is Nala and I am a 1 year old silver lab. I am a very energetic and playful girl and keep my family on their toes. I am still working on my training but I am a AKC Star Puppy and just passed my AKC Canine Good Citizenship test. Mom is training me to be her therapy dog so that I can bring joy and happiness to others. Mom says I have a long way to go but am a work in progress. I love to play with my brother Loki and my sister Halo but she does not really like to play with me. I am just a happy girl.

Nala

My name is Loki and I am a 2 year old German Sheppard Mix. My family rescued me from the scary shelter in Dallas where they found me when I was only 8 weeks old wondering the streets with my sister. Mom took one look at my face and had to bring me home. I love chewing on bones and playing fetch with my favorite ball. I know my basic commands in English, German and sign language. I still have lots to learn but mom says I am a smart boy.

Loki

My name is Halo and I am a 13 year old full blooded Chihuahua. I am only 4lb but I don't let that stop me from running the house. Mom adopted me from a co worker who could not care for me anymore. I love to curl up in someone's lap, hide under the covers and make a nice bed out of the cloths pile after mom has put it on her bed to put away. She gets mad at me when do but I don't know why, I am just trying to live my best life. I am small but I keep my brother and sister in line.
